The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree "Multilingualism and Cultural Diversity" (EMJM MultiDiverse) is a prestigious multidisciplinary, highly integrated and transnational , research-oriented degree programme that brings together linguistics , education , sociology and psychology . It equips students with key knowledge and skills in multilingualism and cultural diversity. International in scope and socially relevant , the programme is offered in collaboration with Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Poland). The curriculum is structured around three core areas: Multilingualism from a linguistic perspective Multilingualism from an educational and language learning perspective Multilingualism and cultural diversity from sociological and psychological perspectives. By integrating multidisciplinary perspectives focusing on the interplay of language , culture , and society , we empower students to explore multilingualism and cultural diversity from different angles. MultiDiverse fosters excellence through a shared vision of academic mobility , cultural exchange , and the analytical study of how language and culture defines and connects human experience across borders. The degree is designed for students aiming to deepen their understanding of multilingualism and cultural diversity in a global context . Graduates develop strong subject-specific and methodological competences to critically engage with linguistic, educational, sociological and psychological dimensions of multilingualism, migration and cultural diversity. The EMJM MultiDiverse provides high-quality training in the areas of multilingualism and cultural diversity by offering students the opportunity to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the fields of linguistics , education , psychology , and sociology that are relevant for professional activities in the field of multilingualism and cultural diversity . The programme is jointly offered by the University of Konstanz, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Students benefit from studying in three academically and culturally diverse European contexts , gaining first-hand experience of different research traditions and societal perspectives on multilingualism and cultural diversity. Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates are awarded a joint Master’s degree officially conferred by all three partner universities.
