Philosophy (part-time) at Erasmus University Rotterdam: Admission Requirements

English requirement

IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 7.0 overall. All sub-scores should at least be 6.5. TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 100. All sub-scores should at least be 23. TOEFL iBT certificate from 2026 onwards: 5 (including sub scores) ITP-TOEFL (Institutional Testing Programme) offered by the Language & Training Centre at EUR, or any other Dutch University. Minimum requirement: 627. Cambridge C1 Advanced or Cambridge C2 Proficiency with a minimum score of at least 185. Only one of the options above needs to be met.

Prior degree required

Bachelor in Philosophy or Bachelor in Philosophy of a specific Discipline from Erasmus University Rotterdam; Bachelor in Philosophy from another university; or Bachelor in another discipline with a total of 60 EC of courses (minor excluded) in Philosophy within the programme of the bachelor
